PREPOSICIONES DE LUGAR EN INGLES

"¿Donde está la pelota?" En esta lección, vamos a practicar las preposiciones de lugar, utilizaré la imagen de una caja y una pelota negra para ilustrar. Estas palabras nos indican la ubicación de los objetos y las personas con respecto a otro. Normalmente van precedidas de variantes del verbo "TO BE" Te mostraré 3 ejemplos por cada una para una mejor comprensión. Lee los ejemplos en voz alta para mejorar tu speaking

ON: SOBRE, ENCIMA (HACIENDO CONTACTO) • The apples are ON the table • "The spoon is ON the table" (La cuchara está sobre la mesa) • "Some bananas are ON the plate" (Unos plátanos están sobreel plato) • "The blue box is ON the chair" (La caja azul está sobre la silla)

UNDER: DEBAJO DE (HACIENDO CONTACTO) • "The cat is UNDER the bed" (El gato está debajo de la cama) • "My black shoes were UNDER the chair" (Mis zapatos negros estaban debajo la silla) • "The boxes aren't UNDER the desk" (Las cajas no están debajo del escritorio)

NEXT TO: AL LADO DE, JUNTO A • "My house front door is NEXT TO the window" (la puerta frontal de mi casa está junto a la ventana) • I´m NEXT TO my brother • The white fridge is NEXT TO the table • The old picture is NEXT TO the clock • My bed is NEXT TO the new desk

BEHIND: DETRAS DE • "The elementary school is BEHIND our house" (la escuela primaria está detrás de nuestra casa) • "I´m hidden BEHIND the door now" (Estoy escondido detrás de la puerta) • "There are some trees are BEHIND the backyard" (Hay unos árboles detrás del patio)

IN: EN, DENTRO DE • "All the apples are IN the bag" (Todas las manzanas están en la bolsa) • "We are IN the shop now" (Esta,os en la tienda ahora) • "The car WAS in the parking lot" (El auto estaba en el estacionamiento)

IN FRONT OF: EN FRENTE DE • "The public library is IN FRONT OF the church" (La biblioteca pública está en frente de la iglesia) • "I was IN FRONT OF her" (Yo estaben frente de ella) • "Is the hotel IN FRONT OF the travel agency?" (¿El hotel está en frente de la agencia de viajes?)

• The coffee shop is BETWEEN the pharmacy and the restaurant BETWEEN: EN MEDIO DE, EN FRENTE DE • "Jason is the boy BETWEEN my daddy and my uncle" (Jason es el chico entre mi papá y mi tio) • "My pencil is BETWEEN my book and my notebook" (Mi lápiz esta ente mi libro y mi cuaderno) • "Joseph´s apartment was BETWEEN a building and a gas station" (El departamento de Joseph estaba entre un edificio y una gasolinera)

AMONG: ENTRE (DE MANERA MEZCLADA) • "I was AMONG the crowd at the concert" (Estaba entre la multitud en el concierto) • "My math notebook is AMONG the others" • "My car toy is AMONG the other ones" (Mi carro de juguete está entre los otros)

ABOVE: ENCIMA, SOBRE (SIN HACER CONTACTO) • "The moon and the sun seem to be ABOVE the earth"(La luna y el sol parecen estar sobre la tierra) • "All the clouds are ABOVE us" (Todas las nubes están sobre nosotros) • "There´s a big lamp ABOVE the table" (hay una gran lámpara sobre la mesa)

BELOW: DEBAJO DE (SIN HACER CONTACTO) • "The temperature in Canada is below zero now" (La temperatura en Canadá está bajo cero ahora) • "We are in a plane and we can see the city BELOW" (Estamos en un avión y podemos ver la ciudad debajo) • "Solve the exercises BELOW" (Resuelve los ejercicios debajo)
